Diego Serrano has a diverse work experience in various roles related to power electronics and engineering. Diego worked as a Lead Application Engineer at Wolfspeed since 2023. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University, where they focused on developing an open-source database for power magnetics modeling. Diego also worked as a Power Electronics Researcher at Centro de Electrónica Industrial (CEI), where they supervised and mentored students and worked on projects such as LLC converters and GaN characterization. Additionally, they gained experience as a Power Electronics Intern at Delphi Technologies, where they contributed to designing low-voltage inverters for electric vehicles. Diego has been actively involved in research and analysis in power electronics throughout their career.
Diego Serrano earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering from Universidad de Granada in 2011-2015. Diego then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2015-2016. Following this, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Power Electronics from the same institution in 2016-2021. In 2021, Diego also obtained the certification of "RCR: Engineering Researcher" from CITI Program.
