Katie Young Wildes

Katie Young Wildes is an experienced communications and development professional with a strong background in nonprofit management. Currently serving as Senior Communications Specialist and Director of Advancement at Women Against Abuse, Inc. since February 2013, Katie is responsible for fundraising and marketing efforts to support the organization's substantial annual operating budget, overseeing external communications and brand development. Prior experience includes roles as Development Manager at the National Adoption Center, where Katie supported a $1.2 million budget and raised significant funds through various events, and as Associate Director of Development at Women Against Abuse, where responsibilities included grant management and legislative advocacy. Early career experience includes reporting for the Daily Freeman Newspaper. Katie holds an MS in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University and a BA in English, Journalism, and Communications from Messiah University.
