Mary Kate Kalinich

Mary Kate Kalinich is a dedicated legal professional with significant experience in representing survivors of domestic violence and advocating for child welfare. As the Custody and Support Supervising Attorney at Women Against Abuse, Inc. since September 2015, Mary Kate oversees a team of attorneys and a paralegal, while focusing on complex custody and child support cases involving child welfare. Prior roles include serving as a Staff Attorney during the Equal Justice Works Fellowship, where improvements were made in training and policy for domestic violence victims, and various legal internships that provided a strong foundation in civil rights, criminal defense, and advocacy. Mary Kate holds a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware.
