Katelyn Laing

Katelyn Laing currently serves as a Financial Planning Committee Member at Women in Surety (WIS) since July 2023. Katelyn has extensive experience in the surety industry, having held various positions at Berkley Surety since June 2016, including Assistant Vice President - Underwriting Manager - Commercial and Senior Commercial Surety Underwriter. Prior to this, Katelyn worked at Chubb from September 2012 to May 2016, where roles included Senior Commercial Surety Underwriter and Commercial Surety Underwriter. Katelyn specializes in underwriting and managing a significant commercial surety portfolio in the Northeast/New York City area, focusing on analyzing financial conditions and risk exposures for existing and new clients. Katelyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2012.
