David Brown

David Brown is an experienced policy and planning professional currently serving as the Director of Policy and Planning at the U.S. Small Business Administration since June 2021, with previous roles including Acting Chief of Staff and Director of Policy. Prior to this, David served as an Economic Policy Advisor to U.S. Senator Chris Coons from 2018 to 2021. David's career includes significant positions at Third Way, where roles spanned from Senior Policy Advisor to Deputy Director of the Economic Program, as well as experience as an Associate at Eurasia Group. Early career experience includes teaching at YES Prep Public Schools in Houston, Texas, and at Saint Mary's Boys Secondary School. Academically, David holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Rice University.
