Carlos Hornillos joined Women’s World Banking in 2015 as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. In this role, Carlos is responsible for executive level decision-making and management of staff for the organization’s Finance, Information Technology, Compliance and Office Administration teams.

Prior to joining the organization, Carlos was the Vice-President for Finance at Services for the Underserved where he led a team of 20 to manage accounting, finance and reporting to all stakeholders. He played a key supportive role in the acquisition and integration of a smaller NGO which led to a 50 percent growth in the organization. Carlos also spearheaded a campaign to improve the organization’s processes and timing for financial reporting. Before that, he was Director of Finance at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), overseeing finance and administration for the group’s global operations (44 national offices serving 68 countries). As WCS’ reach grew, Carlos managed an overseas budget growth from $45M to $90M and ensured optimal integration and operations of new staff and offices.

Carlos received his Bachelors in Business Administration and Economics, and Master in Finance from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
