Marie-Laure Descamps has a strong background in engineering, primarily in the maritime industry. Marie-Laure started their career at BSHC as a trainee in 2006 before moving on to Airbus as a trainee from 2006 to 2007. Marie-Laure then worked at SBM Offshore as a hydrodynamics engineer in the concept department from 2008 to 2013, followed by a role as a lead discipline- naval architecture at Technip from 2014 to 2017. Marie-Laure then worked at Longitude Engineering as a naval engineer for a brief period in 2017. Marie-Laure joined LICenergy UK Limited in 2017 as a hydrodynamics engineer and later served as an offshore engineer in 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Engineer at Wood Thilsted since May 2019, and has now been promoted to the role of Lead Engineer starting from November 2023.
Marie-Laure Descamps earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from ENSTA Bretagne in 2008. During the same time period, they also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Naval Mechanics from ENSIETA.
