Brian Humphreys has an extensive work experience in the medical field. In 1984, they started as an Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where they taught students and residents in surgical programs and conducted research. Brian also served as the Assistant Chief of the Otolaryngology Department at Detroit Receiving Hospital during this time. In 2007, they became a member of the Board of Directors at Woodland Heights Medical Center. In 2008, they joined Gaslight Ambulatory Surgery Center as the Medical Director, responsible for ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and improving patient outcomes. Currently, they hold the position of Chief of Surgery at Woodland Heights Medical Center.

Brian Humphreys began their education at UTEP, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Chemistry from 1971 to 1975. Brian then attended UCLA from 1975 to 1979, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine. Following this, Brian pursued Post Graduate Surgery Training at UCLA from 1979 to 1981 within their General Surgery Residency Program. Finally, they continued their postgraduate studies at Stanford University from 1981 to 1984, specializing in Surgery.
