Marco Collalto

Marco Collalto has extensive work experience in security and forensics. Marco started their career in 1990 as a Sargeant in the South African Police Service. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Forensics Loss Manager at CGS Financial Technology, where they launched and headed the forensics loss department, focusing on fraud prevention, detection, and investigations. From 2005 to 2007, they served as the Divisional Manager at Secure Group, leading the group forensics department and conducting investigations on various risks. Since 2009, Marco has been working at Woodlands Dairy (PTY) LTD as the Chief Security Officer, responsible for overseeing all security functions, monitoring CCTV surveillance, conducting internal investigations, and ensuring health and safety compliance.

Marco Collalto has a diverse education history spanning various fields. In 1985-1989, they attended Boksburg High School, where they obtained a matriculation degree. Following this, in 1995, they pursued a degree in Community Policing and Human Rights at Technikon SA, followed by a Police Management degree in 1996 from the same institution. In 2000, they earned a Security Course Certificate in Security and Loss Prevention Services from UNISA. In 2002-2005, Collalto attended the Academy of Graphology and Forensics Handwriting Examination, where they completed a Professional Course in Forensic Handwriting Identification, specializing in Forensic Science and Technology. In 2006, they briefly studied Warehouse Management at Damelin and completed a Security Certificate Course in Security and Loss Prevention Services at UBUNTU. Most recently, in 2019-2020, they participated in two programs focusing on occupational health and safety, namely the SAMTRAC International program at SAMTRAC • ZA and the SAMTRAC INTERNATIONAL program at NOSA, specializing in Health & Safety and Occupational Safety and Health Technology/Technician.
