Sébastien Patour has worked in the mechatronics field since 2011. Sébastien began their career as a Robotics Engineer Intern at FANUC Europe in 2011, where they designed a basketball cell and a part of an assembly line for pharmaceutical products. In 2012, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer Freelance for Robotics Valley. In 2013, they were a Mechanical Engineer Intern at NEXTER ROBOTICS, where they worked on the NERVA development and optimization. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at SoftBank Robotics Europe as a Mechatronics & Lead Project Engineer at Innovation, where they explored, tested and developed new kind of actuators, sensors and complex mechatronics sub-systems dedicated to robotics specifications and industrial production. Since 2019, they have been the Director of Mechatronics & Optics, and then Head of Mechatronics & Optics at Woodoo, a Material Science Company. In this role, they have been leading the development of novel integrated devices focus on consumer electronics, automotive and aeronautical industries.
Sébastien Patour attended IPSA, école d'ingénieurs de l'air et de l'espace from 2008 to 2010, where they studied Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering. Sébastien then attended Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) from 2010 to 2013, where they studied Cycle ingénieur Génie Mécanique – Filière MARS (Mécatronique, Actionneurs, Robotisation & Systèmes).
