Lizbeth Guijarro

Lizbeth Guijarro, Ph.D., is a highly experienced professional in the field of geology and exploration. Currently serving as the New Ventures Lead and Head of Egypt Exploration at Woodside Energy since June 2022, Lizbeth has previously held various roles at BHP, including Exploration Manager for the Rest of the World, Principal Geologist for GoM and Mexico Exploration, and Senior Geologist for Australia Exploration, among others, from August 2012 to June 2022. Prior to that, a tenure at ExxonMobil as Senior Exploration Geologist spanned from August 2004 to July 2012, alongside an instructional role as Geology Instructor at the University of South Carolina-Columbia. Lizbeth's academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of South Carolina and a B.S. in Geological Sciences and Physics from The University of Texas at El Paso.
