Joseph Najar

Joseph Najar has over 14 years of work experience in the field of IT security and compliance. Joseph is currently serving as the Head of IT Security & Compliance at Woodward, Inc. Prior to their current role, they worked at Noble Energy as an IT Security Manager, where they designed and implemented a security system for a multi-billion dollar offshore facility. Joseph also enabled field operations to operate securely in digital oil fields and created a segregated cloud-based SCADA network. Before that, Joseph worked at Southwestern Energy as a Senior Security Administrator, where they implemented IT security solutions and procedures and developed strategies to protect against cyber attacks. Joseph also installed and configured a security and event management system for monitoring security events and network flows. Joseph began their career at KPMG US as a Senior IT Security Advisor, providing strategic guidance and conducting penetration tests and security audits. Joseph also worked at Ernst & Young as an IT Security Auditor, where they participated in auditing engagements and streamlined audit processes.

Joseph Najar completed their Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems at Brigham Young University from 2003 to 2006. Joseph also holds multiple certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, and GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) from SANS Institute.
