Helena Nissen

Helena Nissen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Helena began their career in 1990 as a Trim Developer/Apparel Production at Esprit and worked there until 1992. Helena then transitioned to Hanna Andersson as a Materials & Trim Developer from 1992 to 1995. Following that, Helena joined Columbia Sportswear in 1995 and held various positions including Divisional Design Manager, Sr. Designer, and Technical Designer until 2008. From 2009 to 2014, they worked as a Linguistic QA Tester/Swedish at Welocalize. Helena then returned to Hanna Andersson in 2015 and served as a Sr. Technical Designer for Baby/Toddler, Kids, Sleep & Underwear/Licensed Apparel & Accessories until 2019. In 2019, they worked briefly at Airblaster as a Sr. Technical Designer before joining Wool&Prince and wool& as a Technical Design Manager, where they are currently employed.

Helena Nissen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Business from the University of California, Berkeley. Helena also has an Associate of Arts degree in Apparel Design from The Art Institutes. Helena furthered their education at Portland State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology.
