Heesun Kim

Heesun Kim has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Heesun currently works as a Robotics Product Manager at Woowa Brothers Corp. since November 2021. Prior to this, from February 2020 to October 2021, they worked at Hancom Robotics as a Human-Robot Interaction / AI Product Designer. In this role, they were responsible for designing and developing a consumer robot powered by artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor technology, voice and edge computing. Heesun primarily focused on Human-Robot Interaction design, Conversational AI UX design, and AI Product Service planning.

Before joining Hancom Robotics, Heesun Kim worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Arizona State University from August 2018 to July 2019. Additionally, they gained experience as a UX researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology from February 2014 to July 2018. Finally, at the start of their career, from March 2009 to December 2011, they worked as a Product Manager at Nexon.

Heesun Kim has an extensive education history. Heesun began their academic journey in 2005 at Seoul Women's University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree (Summa cum laude) in B.E. Media Engineering and B.A. Communication&The Media, both of which they double majored in. Heesun successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2009. Afterward, in 2012, Heesun Kim enrolled at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, where they earned their Master's degree in M.S. Culture Technology. Their focus during their master's program was on Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, and Visualization. Heesun completed their studies in 2014. Currently, Heesun Kim is pursuing a Ph.D. in Media Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University. Heesun has been a Ph.D. Candidate at the university since 2018.
