Terra Oliveira's work experience includes various roles in different organizations. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as the Assistant Director of Fund Development at the Henry Lee Willis Community Center, where they researched and submitted grant applications, coordinated marketing materials, and raised $100,000. From 2010 to 2011, they served as the Development and Special Projects Manager at Habitat for Humanity-MetroWest/Greater Worcester, leading a campaign to increase affiliate revenue through vehicle donations and assisting with event planning. From 2011 to 2013, Terra worked as the Development and Communications Coordinator at the Regional Environmental Council, where they managed fundraising, communications, and volunteer strategies. In 2013, they took on the role of Hostel Manager at Hostelling International USA, managing operations and providing customer service. Since 2013, Terra has been working at the Worcester Community Action Council, Inc., first as the Director of Administration, supervising financial empowerment programs, and later as the Director of Financial Empowerment, overseeing daily operations and staff in financial counseling and coaching.

Terra Oliveira graduated from Clark University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Spanish. Terra then pursued a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management at the same university, completing their degree in 2008.

Throughout their career, Terra has also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed the "Introduction to Financial Coaching Certification course" offered by the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. The following year, in 2019, they participated in the "MASSCAP Leadership Development Institute 1 & 2" organized by the Massachusetts Association for Community Action. Their most recent certification, acquired in 2021, is a "Certificate in Financial Social Work" from the Center for Financial Social Work.

Additionally, Terra has obtained the "Credit as an Asset" certification from the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley in 2018. In the same year, they completed the "Your Money Your Goals Train the Trainer" program offered by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Lastly, Terra is also a Notary Public, though the institution from which they obtained this certification is not specified.
