Eugene Kirpichov has a diverse range of work experience. Eugene is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Work on Climate, a non-profit organization focused on addressing climate change. Eugene is also the chair of PAW Climate, the world's first conference on using machine learning in climate technology.
In addition, Kirpichov serves as a Board Member for terrafuse, a company involved in sustainable development. Eugene has volunteered at RespiraWorks as a Software Engineer and Project Manager, contributing to the development of low-cost ventilators during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to these roles, Kirpichov worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Google, where they were involved in developing a new programming model for machine learning. Eugene has also volunteered as a mentor at Hackbright Academy and served as a teaching assistant at Empoder.
Before these experiences, Kirpichov held a Principal Engineer position at Mirantis. Eugene also contributed to the Practice of Functional Programming journal as an author and issuing editor, and taught a course on functional programming at the Computer Science Club at PDMI RAS.
Eugene Kirpichov completed their Master of Science degree in Information Systems at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University from 2003 to 2009.
