Brendan Smith

Brendan Smith is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software application development and engineering management. Currently serving as the Sr Director of Software Application Development at Workday since May 2015, Brendan oversees the Workforce Management development organization in Europe, focusing on Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and core HCM. Prior to this, Brendan held the position of Technical Director at AOL, managing a 65+ person software engineering team in Dublin responsible for advertising technology. With prior roles as Engineering Manager at Sun Microsystems and Trintech, along with experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation, Brendan has cultivated a strong background in engineering leadership and software development. Brendan holds an M.B.A. from Dublin City University and a B.Sc. in Computer Systems from the University of Limerick.
