Christopher Silvey

Christopher Silvey is the Director of Technical Accounting and SOX at Workday. Christopher has over 15 years of experience in public accounting, including 9 years at EY. At EY, Christopher was a Senior Manager in the Assurance practice and was responsible for investigating US GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting requirements, Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX 404), COSO and PCAOB guidelines to confirm compliance. Christopher also provided findings and recommendations to Company management and Audit Committee and monitored remediation and action plans.

Christopher has also worked on quarterly reviews and audits of financial statements for SEC and privately held multinational clients. Christopher has experience with issuing SEC filings (Form 10-K and Form 10-Q), including IPO's (Form S-1).

In their current role at Workday, Christopher is responsible for technical accounting matters, including research and documentation of new accounting standards, as well as overseeing the SOX program.

Christopher Silvey has a BA in Economics with a Statistical Emphasis from San Francisco State University. Christopher also has a certification from the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners in Certified Public Accountant. Finally, they have a certification from the California Board of Accountancy in Certified Public Accountant.

Christopher Silvey reports to Philippa Lawrence, VP & Chief Accounting Officer. Christopher Silvey works with Regina Zhang - Director, Tax Accounting and Compliance, Patrick Hoynes - Director, Accounting and Reporting.
