Rob Catalano has a diverse work experience in the field of HR and employee engagement. Since 2015, they have been the Chief Engagement Officer & Co-Founder of WorkTango Inc., where they focus on improving lives at work by providing employees with a voice and leaders with actionable insights through data science and natural language processing.

In 2017, Rob co-founded InnovateWork, an HR and Tech community that aims to improve the changing workplace by recruiting, retaining, and engaging employees. Rob also serves as the Chair, Canada for the Enterprise Engagement Alliance since 2017.

Rob is actively involved in various organizations and communities related to HR and employee engagement. Rob is an organizer of DisruptHR Toronto and an official member of the Forbes Human Resources Council since 2018 and 2021, respectively. Rob is also an advisor at mello (YC S21), a Program Advisor for the People Analytics Certificate at York University since 2020, and a member of Engage for Success, where they lead the Social Engagement Guide group and contributes to marketing efforts.

In addition, Rob has been a public speaker in the HR field since 2010, leveraging their experience in growing organizations and helping companies focus on engaging employees and impacting corporate cultures. Rob has been recognized as a Top 100 Employee Experience Influencer globally in 2017 and 2018.

Rob also serves as a member of the Board of Advisors - EMEA for HRO Today - Services and Technology Association since 2015, where they advise on regional strategy and communications to better serve the HR industry and promote professional development and networking opportunities.

Rob Catalano attended Emery Collegiate Institute from 1998 to 2002, where they studied IT with a focus on Marketing. Following this, they pursued a degree in Commerce at Ryerson University from 1999 to 2003, specializing in Marketing and IT. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Certified Recognition Professional (CRP) from Recognition Professionals International and REP (Recognition and Engagement Professional).
