Eleanor O'Mahony

Communications & PR Manager at Workvivo

Eleanor O'Mahony has held a variety of roles in communications, public relations, and editing. In 2021, they began working as Communications Manager for Workvivo. From 2019-2021, they were Senior Account Executive for 150BOND, where they worked with companies like Ethyca, Stripe, LetsGetChecked and Workvivo on PR and communications strategies, and placed stories in various publications including Harvard Business Review, the Guardian, CNBC, WIRED, BBC, Forbes, TechCrunch, RTE, Sunday Times, Irish Times, Irish Independent and more. From 2017-2019, they were Editor in Chief of The University Times, where they hired, mentored and managed a staff of 80 editors and 50 more writers, and influenced national conversation on important issues. In 2016, they were an English language and literature tutor for Axiom Academics, and Quality Assurance Associate for NewsWhip. In 2015, they were Communications Intern for The Mexican Embassy in Ireland (La Embajada de México en Irlanda), where they briefed the Ambassador for important meetings to develop trade links between Ireland and Mexico, and developed a bilingual social media strategy for the embassy. In 2014, they were Public Relations Officer for the Society For International Affairs, where they organized and managed events with journalists, diplomats and academics, and managed the social media. Eleanor also co-chaired the committee that delivered the inaugural ambassadors' ball, where they marketed the event on social media, invited and liaised with ambassadors of Cuba, Saudi Arabia and Palestine.

Eleanor O'Mahony completed their secondary school education at St. Joseph of Cluny Secondary School, Killiney from 2007 to 2013. Eleanor then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in European Studies at Trinity College Dublin from 2013 to 2018. During their studies at Trinity College Dublin, they also obtained a B. A. European Studies from the Литературный Институт им. А. М. Горького in Russian Language and Literature from 2016 to 2017. In addition, they obtained a European Computer Driving License in May 2013 and a TEFL 120 hours certification from i-to-i TEFL.
