Joseph Peila

Joseph Peila has extensive experience in both education and sports officiating. Since January 2005, Joseph has served as an Olympic Water Polo Referee for FINA, with notable officiating roles in the 2016 Rio Olympics, the 2015 World Championships in Kazan, and multiple World University Games from 2011 to 2019. Prior to this, Joseph had a distinguished teaching career, spanning from September 1988 to August 2019, which included positions as a High School Business Education Teacher at Montebello Unified School District, a Physical Education Teacher at Las Cruces Public Schools, and a High School Mathematics Teacher at Clark County School District. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles, earned between 1982 and 1987.
