Naresh Shahi

Naresh Shahi, Ph.D., currently serves as a Research & Development Scientist at World Centric, focusing on the formulation of sustainable, biodegradable biomaterials for food service applications. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Iowa State University Polymer and Food Protection Consortium, where Naresh manufactured waste-diverted prototype bottles and engaged in polymer synthesis and characterization. Naresh earned a Ph.D. in Biomaterials from Tuskegee University and has significant experience in multidisciplinary research on bio-based materials and their applications in food and health systems. Additional expertise includes project management in humanitarian efforts with the International Medical Corps and various roles that highlight proficiency in advanced analytical techniques and software related to materials science.
