Zaili Hou

Zaili Hou is currently a Research Scientist at World Centric, focusing on the development of biodegradable barrier coatings for food packaging applications since September 2023. Prior to this role, Zaili Hou served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut from August 2018 to August 2023, where significant contributions included the preparation and characterization of biomimetic coatings on Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), the design of photothermal responsive electroluminescent devices, and the development of a liquid 3D printing method for conductive polymer materials. Zaili Hou holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Connecticut and earned a B.S. with honors in Chemistry from Lanzhou University. During graduate studies, supervision was provided to over 10 undergraduate and 4 high school students, showcasing leadership in research.
