Bob Stefanski serves as the Chief of the Agricultural Meteorology Division within the Climate and Water Department at the World Meteorological Organization since January 2005, focusing on the scientific and technical aspects of WMO’s Agricultural Meteorology Programme. Prior to this role, Bob held positions as a Scientific Officer in the same division, providing expertise to the Commission for Agricultural Meteorology and liaising with international organizations such as FAO and UNESCO, and as an Agricultural Meteorologist at USDA, where responsibilities included crop weather analysis and yield estimation. Bob's career in meteorology commenced at the U.S. National Weather Service, where expertise was applied in crop condition assessments. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Agricultural Climatology from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Meteorology from Purdue University.
