Giridhar Mahadhevan serves as a digital and field operation officer at the World Mosquito Program since January 2020, focusing on community engagement and education regarding the Wolbachia method for preventing mosquito-borne diseases. Additionally, Giridhar has held the position of animal rescue coordinator at Embark Sri Lanka since March 2012, responsible for ensuring the completion of medical requirements and paperwork for animals in need of foster care or rescue, as well as establishing partnerships with other NGOs. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from EMEA Arts & Science College and an undergraduate national scholarship from the Indian Council for Cultural Relationship, along with previous education in biology and primary education.
