Ahmad Alhendawi serves as the Secretary-General and CEO of the World Organization of the Scout Movement since March 2017, leading a team of 180 professionals to support 175 National Scout Organizations globally. Previous roles include the UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth, where Ahmad established an office focused on youth programs, and a capacity-building specialist at Mercy Corps. Ahmad's contributions also extend to the League of Arab States as a team leader on projects promoting civil society and as a policy advisor on population policies. With a strong background in youth development and governance, Ahmad's educational qualifications include advanced degrees in European and International Studies and Public Policy.
