Hidayah Hamzah is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and monitoring. Currently serving as the Forest and Peat Monitoring Senior Manager at World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia since October 2020, Hidayah provides strategic oversight for forest and peat monitoring initiatives, advocating for the use of Global Forest Watch tools and regulatory frameworks to combat forest-related crimes. Previously, as the Manager of the National Plastic Action Partnership, Hidayah led a collaborative platform addressing marine plastic pollution. Hidayah’s career at WRI Indonesia began as the Global Forest Watch Coordinator, followed by roles as a GIS Analyst and in various GIS capacities at multiple organizations, emphasizing community-based conservation and natural resource management. Hidayah holds a Master of Science in Natural Resources Management from the University of Twente and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Sciences from IPB University.
