Mallory Tuominen has a diverse work experience that spans from 2006 to the present day. Mallory began their career as a Social Studies Teacher in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 from 2006 to 2009. Mallory then transitioned to working as the Coordinator of Professional Development at the Minnesota Humanities Center from 2009 to 2011. Mallory moved on to DePaul University, where they served as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Educational Policy and Research Studies from 2011 to 2013. Mallory then joined the Chicago Public Schools as the High School Assessment Manager from 2013 to 2014. Mallory subsequently worked as the Instructional Supports Manager at Minneapolis Public Schools from 2014 to 2015. Presently, they hold various roles at World Savvy, starting as the Associate Director of Partnerships Implementation from 2015 to 2017, then becoming the Director of Professional Learning from 2017 to 2021, and currently serving as the Chief Program Officer.
Mallory Tuominen has a Master of Education - MEd degree from DePaul University, specializing in Education, Culture, and Society. Mallory also holds a Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to that, they obtained another Master of Education - MEd degree from the University of Minnesota, specializing in Social Studies Education. Mallory'sundergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Minnesota. Mallory also holds additional certifications as an IDI Qualified Administrator from IDI, LLC, and a Social Studies Teaching License, 5-12, from the Minnesota Department.
