Joi Ehmann, PhD (Van Deventer), has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Joi began their career as an Intern, Coordinator of Children's Ministry and Missions at Community Baptist Church in 1984. Joi held this role until 1989, gaining valuable experience in coordinating and managing various ministry programs.

In 1990, Joi joined Church Resource Ministries as a Church Planter, a role they held for 12 years until 2002. During this time, they focused on establishing new churches and growing their communities.

From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Trainer at Greater Europe Mission, where they were responsible for providing training and support to missionaries.

In 2005, Joi joined World Team and took on various roles within the organization. Joi started as a Church Planter and held this role until 2017. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Coordinator of Global Training, where they coordinated and oversaw training programs on a global level. Finally, in 2017, they became the Director of Global Training at World Team, a position they currently hold.

Joi Ehmann, PhD (Van Deventer), holds multiple degrees in different fields of study. Joi'seducation history spans from 1977 to 2002. Joi began their academic journey at UCLA, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Linguistics between 1977 and 1983. Following this, they pursued further education at Talbot School of Theology from 1984 to 1988, earning a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree with a focus on Missions. Finally, later in their career, they attended Biola University from 2000 to 2002 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Intercultural Education.
