Alexis Massot

Senior Dispute Settlement Lawyer at World Trade Organization

Alexis Massot has extensive work experience in the field of international trade and law. Alexis began their career in 2000 as a Commercial Attaché at the French embassy in Korea. In 2002, they joined the French Treasury as a Legal Advisor, where they served until 2010. During this time, they also worked as a Legal Advisor for the French permanent delegation to the WTO. In 2010, Alexis joined Gide Loyrette Nouel as a Senior Associate, before moving to the World Trade Organization in 2015. At the WTO, Alexis initially served as a Dispute Settlement Lawyer, before being promoted to Senior Dispute Settlement Lawyer in 2020.

Alexis Massot has a Master's degree in Law (Master 2) with a specialization in Litigation and Alternative Means of Dispute Resolution from Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II). They also hold a Master's degree in International Law (DES) from Geneva Graduate Institute and a Master's degree (Maîtrise) in Public Law from University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. In addition, Alexis participated in an exchange program at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1996. They also completed a program in Service Public at Sciences Po Strasbourg in 1997.
