Philippe Pelletier has a strong background in legal and intellectual property work. Philippe began their career as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at Laval University in 2007. In 2008, they worked as an Articling Law Student in the International Registration Systems Legal Service at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), where they assisted with legal work in trademarks, industrial designs, and geographical indications. Philippe then joined the World Trade Organization in 2009, starting as a Legal Researcher in the Intellectual Property Division. In 2010, they were promoted to Legal Affairs Officer in the Intellectual Property, Government Procurement, and Competition Division. Presently, they hold the position of Legal/Economic Affairs Officer in the same division.
Philippe Pelletier began their education in 2002, attending Université Laval, where they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Law LL.B. in 2006. Philippe continued their studies at Université Laval, completing a Master's in International and Transnational Law, LL.M., from 2007 to 2013. In addition, in 2007 and 2008, they attended École du Barreau du Québec and obtained a degree in Law, specializing in Civil Law and Common Law.
