Rocky D. has an extensive work experience history. Rocky currently holds the position of Vice President, Philanthropy and Partnerships at World Vision Canada, a role they began in September 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Partnerships at the same company from October 2021 to August 2022. Before joining World Vision Canada, Rocky D. worked at Omnify - Home of LumiSheet™, where they started as a Shareholder in February 2019 and later became the Vice President/Shareholder until June 2021. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Polyconcept North America, first as the Alternate Channel Sales Manager, National, and then as the Alternate Channel Sales Director, North America. Prior to that, Rocky D. held various positions at Trimark - Promotional Apparel, including Retail Sales Director, National, and Sales Manager, Team and School, National, from 2010 to 2019. Rocky also founded and served as the President of Game Focus Gear Inc from 2006 to 2010. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Youth Worker and Pastor at Don Valley, Grandview, Bayview Glen, and Summit from 1991 to 2006. Rocky D. also has a background in professional ice hockey, having played for the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1989 to 1991 and the Canadiens de Montréal from 1985 to 1989.
Rocky D. obtained a Master's degree in Education with a focus on Adolescent Education and Philosophy from Tyndale University in 1993. In 1998, Rocky completed a Post-Grad degree in Organizational Leadership from Arrow Leadership. From 1994 to 1998, Rocky pursued a Master's degree in Education at Tyndale University. In 2017, Rocky pursued a Masters of Business Administration degree in Change Management & Organizational Leadership from Norwich University, completing it in 2019. Most recently, Rocky has been enrolled in the MIT Sloan School of Management, pursuing an Executive degree in Digital Business Strategy, expected to be completed in 2022. In addition to these formal degrees, Rocky has also obtained certifications in various fields, including Building Modern Python Applications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Indigenous Canada from the University of Alberta, and New Technologies for Business from Rutgers Business School Executive Education.
