Erik Freund's work experience begins in 2006 at Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer in Test, where they worked on functional testing and performance testing. Erik then worked as a Software Consultant and Developer as a freelancer before joining Pangreen as a Development Lead in 2009. In 2010, they returned to Microsoft, first as a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test and later as a Test Program Manager. In 2012, they joined Icertis as a Program Manager, where they led a team in developing an Azure-powered mobile suite. Erik then worked at Carena as a Technical Program Manager and at Microsoft again as a Senior Technical Program Manager. In 2016, they joined Apple Leisure Group as a Technical Product Manager. Erik then moved to Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager in 2017 and finally joined World Vision as a Principal Technical Program Manager in 2018.
Erik Freund earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2006. In 2003, they also studied International Engineering at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology.
