Maura McCarthy is an accomplished digital content strategist with extensive experience in leading content initiatives for prominent organizations. As the Director of Digital Content at the World Wildlife Fund since October 2011, Maura has successfully developed and implemented a digital content strategy, significantly increasing website traffic and fostering collaboration across various teams. Previously, as Web Editor at Smithsonian Magazine, Maura executed strategies that doubled unique visits and developed multimedia content. Maura's career also includes roles at washingtonpost.com, where responsibilities ranged from Arts and Living Editor to Visitor's Guide Editor, focusing on content production and audience engagement. Maura holds a BA in Art History from The Catholic University of America and an MA in Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
