Shay Burnett

Shay Burnett is a Senior Program Officer for Shipping Policy and Corporate Engagement at the World Wildlife Fund since October 2023, previously serving as a Senior Technical Advisor at CLIA from May 2017 to October 2023, focusing on coordination among members and representation in international forums. Earlier experiences include roles as a Technical Advisor at Herbert Engineering Corp. and an Apprentice Naval Architect, where Shay worked on predictive programs for ship evaluation. Additional internships in engineering and ship repair were completed at MiNO Marine, Chesapeake Shipbuilding, APL, and Detyens Shipyard. Shay is currently pursuing a Master of Professional Studies in Public Administration at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, following a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute.
