Dr. Max Lehnus has held a variety of roles in the scientific and technology fields. In 2018, they co-founded and served as CEO of WorldLabs, a platform built to provide practical, intuitive solutions for every player in the innovation ecosystem. From 2015-2018, they served as a Postgraduate Mentor at the University of Cambridge, where they were selected from 300 applicants to support Cambridge University's central access and outreach events by inspiring students across the UK. Dr. Max also gave lectures, led seminars, and communicated their scientific research and experiences to specialist and non-specialist audiences. From 2012-2015, they were the Co-Founder and Business Plan Coordinator of an E-Health Start-Up, Bibutek Srl, where they co-devised a web portal for comprehensive information about physicians, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities throughout Italy. Dr. Max also liaised with two technology consultancy firms in Cambridge, UK, to define design principles and costs for outsourced development of wearable and home wireless healthcare monitors. From 2011-2012, they were a Postgraduate Researcher at the University College London. From 2007-2011, they were an Undergraduate Researcher, Teaching Assistant, and Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During this time, they collaborated with a team to explore the biochemical causes of Alzheimer's disease, conducted independent literature analysis and scientific research, and developed and presented microbial genetics lectures. Additionally, in 2007 they were a Foreign Language Instructor for Easy Life Group Srl and Trust Europe Services Srl.
Dr. Max Lehnus obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 2007 and 2011. Dr. Max then went on to obtain a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine from University College London (UCL) between 2011 and 2012. During their time at UCL, they also obtained a Student Academic Representative (StAR) certificate in 2011. In 2008, they obtained a Phlebotomy Training Program certificate from Madison Area Technical College and a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Diagnostics from the University of Cambridge between 2013 and 2018, during which they also spent a year as a Visiting Ph.D. student at Southeast University in 2014.
