Gayle Brown

Education Lead, Envision By Worldstrides at WorldStrides

Gayle Brown has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. From 1992 to 2001, they worked as a writer, copy editor, and page designer for the Cincinnati Enquirer and served as an editor for the Western Hills Press and Tri-County Press. Gayle then transitioned into the field of education, working as a Long Term Substitute Teacher for Campbell County School District and Nativity of Our Lord School from 2015 to 2017. Gayle later became the Scholarship Coordinator at Newport High School, where they helped students with college searches, applications, essays, and scholarship searches until 2021. In 2016, they joined WorldStrides as an Education Lead for Envision, and in 2021, they became an Interventionist at Campbell County School District. Gayle also has experience in managing student media, serving as Student Media Director at Northern Kentucky University and General Manager for The News Record at the University of Cincinnati.

Gayle Brown has a Master of Science degree in Journalism from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Communication from Thiel College. Gayle also holds additional certifications including a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist certification from the American School Counselor Association, a Career Development Specialist certification from the American School Counselor Association, a Professional Certificate for College Faculty in Journalism from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board, and a College Admissions Specialist certification from the American School Counselor Association.
