Daniel A. Perez

Daniel A. Perez, CCRP, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Currently, they serve as the Global Head of Health Equity Strategy for Worldwide Clinical Trials, where they lead and strategizes the company's health equity efforts across 60 countries and 5 therapeutic areas. Previously, they held positions such as Board Member and Operations Chair at Clinical Trials in Color Foundation, Adjunct Instructor at Clinical Research Fastrack, and Co-Founder at CARE (Coalition for Advancing Research Equity). Mr. Perez also worked at MACRO Trials, where they served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer and Director of Clinical Research Operations. Daniel A. was also an independent contractor as a Clinical Operations Consultant. Additionally, they worked at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) as a Clinical Research Manager and a Clinical Research Coordinator. Earlier in their career, they held roles at Cedars-Sinai, including Clinical Research Coordinator, Research Coordinator and Biorepository Lab Manager, and Administration Associate. Before pursuing their career in healthcare and clinical research, Mr. Perez founded Manos del Maya, a platform for indigenous healers and guides.

Daniel A. Perez, CCRP (he/him) holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological Sciences, Summa Cum Laude from Southern California University of Health Sciences. In addition, they have obtained various certifications including Certified Clinical Research Professional from SOCRA, Medidata Rave Certified Clinical Research Coordinator from Medidata Solutions, and Principles and Practice of Clinical Research from The National Institutes of Health. Daniel A. also possesses additional certifications in executive presence, organizational communication, self-awareness, resilience, difficult conversations, political savvy, servant leadership, crucial conversations, project management essentials, and transportation of dangerous goods.
