Courtney Lauer

Courtney Lauer, MSW has a diverse background in the field of social work. Courtney most recently worked at Wounded Warrior Project as a Continuous Care Services member, where they provided professional services in estate, financial, and life-care planning to severely injured warriors and their caregivers. Additionally, they served as an Independence Program Specialist, supporting catastrophically wounded veterans and helping them achieve a more independent life.

Before their time at Wounded Warrior Project, Courtney worked as a Disability Claims Analyst at Benefit Harbor Insurance Services, LLC. In this role, they made decisions on mental health claims for short-term disability leave and provided guidance to clients on benefit navigation. Courtney also worked with various providers to determine the appropriateness and length of leave based on medical documentation.
