Vikas joined Ogilvy Africa in Dec 2019 based in Nairobi, Kenya. An advertising lifer, his work spans fifteen countries across North Asia, Greater China, South & South-East Asia, and the pacific region. One of the few practitioners in business who’s traversed across the agency-spectrum, Vikas has led creative, media, digital, PR & influence, activation, tech and content agencies. He’s spent most of his career building agencies and brands in Developing & Emerging (D&E) markets. Prior to joining Ogilvy, he worked with the global MullenLowe Group (IPG) for nearly fifteen years in various leadership across Asia-Pacific region. At the age of 31, he was named Managing Director-Viet Nam, the youngest country head in the global network. In 2011, he was named Regional Growth Officer – Lowe Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. He moved to India in 2013 where he played several leadership roles at MullenLowe Lintas Group including Group CMO (a first for Indian advertising); President - Group Marketing Services; founding CEO - PointNine Lintas (India’s first omni-channel agency) and CEO - Mullen Lintas (the youngest creative agency in India to be ranked amongst the top 10) Vikas believes in an ‘omni-channel’ approach to building brands aims to bring the vision of One Ogilvy to life, on the African continent. A strategist by training, case studies authored by him have won over 100 regional and global awards including several ‘agency of the year’ titles. Besides doing guest lectures at premier B-Schools, Vikas has spoken at over 30 national and International industry forums like AdTech (India and Singapore), Asia Pacific Tambuli (Philippines), Tangrams (Singapore) and Lanka Business Summit (Sri Lanka), to name a few. Early stages of his career were spent working with Publicis and Leo Burnett.
