Patrick Biel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Patrick is currently the Director of Power Electronics at Wright Electric since September 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Consultant at New Albany Technology Development, where they documented and tested a cryocooler system, developed a prototype user interface and controls PCB and software for cryocooler applications.

Earlier in their career, Biel held positions as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Tokyo Electron from February 2004 to May 2010, a Senior Design Engineer at Invensys (acquired by Schneider Electric) from January 2002 to February 2004, and a Senior Design Engineer at Emerson Network Power from December 1999 to January 2002.

Biel began their career as part of the Engineering Leadership Development Program at BAE Systems, Inc. from June 1996 to December 1999.

Patrick Biel attended Miami University from 1987 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/Accounting. Following this, they attended The Ohio State University from 1992 to 1996, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Afterward, they pursued further education at Binghamton University from 1997 to 2002, earning a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
