Brandon Smith

Brandon Smith is an accomplished Photographer at WSMV since February 2016, recognized as an Emmy Award winner for Spot News and recipient of the Best Videography Award from the 2016 Tennessee AP News Excellence Awards. Brandon operates microwave live trucks, films from helicopters, and collaborates with reporters to produce high-quality news packages using advanced editing techniques. Brandon’s freelance work as a Director of Photography complements a diverse background, including roles such as Graphics Operator and Technical Director at RFD-TV, where Brandon contributed to award-winning productions. Additional experience includes camera operating for MotoAmerica events aired on CBS Sports Network, producing live streams, and managing broadcast graphics for various organizations. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a focus on Telecommunication Arts and Film Studies from The University of Georgia.
