David Thomson

David Thomson is an experienced hydrogeologist with a focus on providing hydrogeological services to the mining industry. Currently serving as Principal Hydrogeologist at WSP since December 2022, David has previously worked as a Consulting Principal Hydrogeologist in a freelance capacity and held the position of Principal Hydrogeologist - Discipline Lead at Stantec from September 2017 to March 2020. David's earlier roles include Director and Principal Hydrogeologist at Thomson Groundwater Pty Ltd and Principal Hydrogeologist and Associate at Golder Associates Pty Ltd, where leadership in technical direction for significant projects was a key responsibility. David's career began as a Geologist in the mid-1980s, and educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Hydrogeology and Groundwater Management and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology from the University of Technology Sydney.
