Bob Brown

Bob Brown has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Bob started their career as a Field Representative for the US Senate in 1991 and later worked as a Legislative Assistant in the CA State Senate from 1993 to 1994. Bob then served as the Deputy Director in the California Department of Consumer Affairs from 1994 to 1999. Following this, they joined AAA Northern CA, NV & UT as the Manager of Media Relations and Government Affairs from 1999 to 2005. Moving up the ranks, Bob became the Director of Public Affairs at the same company from 2005 to 2014, overseeing external affairs and community outreach. Bob then expanded their role to Executive of Communications and Community Affairs, where they focused on internal and external communications, advocacy, and community programs until 2016. In 2016, Bob joined CSAA Insurance Group as a Government Affairs Consultant for a brief period before becoming the Director of Bay Area Operations at the Western States Petroleum Association, where they currently oversee industry and regulatory issues and serves as a liaison for regional agencies and stakeholders.

Bob Brown attended the University of California, Davis from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a focus on Art studio.
