Paul Deiro

Paul Deiro joined the Western States Petroleum Association in 2022 as the Senior Director, California Policy, managing their member companies’ upstream portfolio.

Prior to joining WSPA, Paul served as the Vice President of Government Affairs for the California Resources Corporation. Paul advised the senior management team, CEO, and the Board of Directors on California politics and legislation.

Paul’s experience includes three California Gubernatorial Administrations and both houses of the legislature. He also has worked as a contract lobbyist for 8 years representing a variety of corporations, associations, and public entities.

Paul has two children and lives with his wife, Melissa, in Carmichael.
