Joanna Hernandez

Joanna Hernandez is an experienced news reporter currently working at WTTW/Chicago PBS since July 2021. Previously, Joanna served as a news reporter for News 12 Networks from May 2016 to July 2021, where responsibilities included producing multimedia news content and utilizing bilingual skills to enhance story development. Additional experience includes working as a freelance assignment editor at WXTV Univision NY, where Joanna identified breaking news and coordinated news gathering efforts. Past roles include reporting for Logan Square TV, anchoring for Metro Minutes, interning at NBC/Telemundo, and serving as a production intern at PBS. Joanna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia College Chicago.
