Chupei Zhang has held a variety of roles in the scientific field since 2008. Chupei began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell before moving to the University of Southern California in 2009. In 2015, they became a Senior Scientist at Pfizer and also a Fellow at the NewMet Data Science Bootcamp. Chupei then joined Allogene Therapeutics in 2018, where they held the roles of Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Associate Director at Wugen.
Chupei Zhang obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Science from the University of Science and Technology of China from 2004 to 2008. Chupei then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California from 2009 to 2015. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from Coursera, including Experimentation for Improvement in October 2017, Data Analysis and Statistical Inference (distinction) in November 2014, Exploratory Data Analysis (distinction) in July 2014, Getting and Cleaning Data (distinction) in July 2014, and R Programming (distinction) in June 2014.
