Soham Mody

Soham Mody has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Data Scientist at Wurl. In this role, they are responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of external advertisement campaigns and analyzing viewership trends using Snowflake SQL and Tableau. Soham also automated the process of creating Server-Side Ad Insertion configurations for various Over-the-top streaming channels on AWS MediaTailor and SpringServe. Additionally, Soham created a pipeline that extracts and processes user interaction data to calculate the Hours of viewing for different channels.

Prior to joining Wurl, Soham worked as a Junior Data Scientist at the same company, where they gained experience in data analysis and project management. As a Data Science Intern at Wurl, they evaluated the effectiveness of advertisement campaigns and created automated processes for onboarding new channels.

Soham's prior experience includes working as the Capstone Modeling and Analysis Lead at New York University and Arcadis NV, where they evaluated the congestion surcharge policy implemented in Manhattan. Soham simulated transportation choices of commuters and designed a multinomial logistic regression model to assess the impact of the surcharge.

During their time as a Student at New York University, Soham gained knowledge and skills in their field. Soham also gained experience as a Data Science Intern at CRISIL Limited, where they developed an AI project titled Precis that improved the efficiency of credit rating report summarization. Soham also worked on news classification and automated reading of credit report PDFs.

Soham's early experience includes working as an Analytics Intern at Sarjen Systems Pvt. Ltd., where they developed a business intelligence tool called Insight for analyzing sales data. Soham also worked as a Data Science Intern at Oracle, where they performed proof-of-concept for a project involving retail banking customer data analysis.

Outside of their professional work, Soham served as the HR Head of the Rotaract Club of Nirma University. In this role, they organized Bollywood concerts and stand-up nights, as well as a national-level fest called 'Horizon.'

Soham Mody's education history begins with their completion of high school at St. Xavier's Loyola Hall in Ahmedabad from the year 2001 to 2014. Later, from 2014 to 2018, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science with a minor specialization in Finance from Nirma University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Subsequently, they attended New York University from 2018 to 2019, where they completed a Masters degree in Applied Data Science and Urban Informatics.
