Cesar Fernandes

Cesar Fernandes, PMP has extensive experience in the field of information technology. Cesar is currently the Director of IT Infrastructure at WuXi Advanced Therapies since November 2022. Prior to that, Cesar held the role of Director - Global Infrastructure at Catalent Pharma Solutions from February 2016 to August 2022, where they were responsible for various areas of global IT infrastructure in a life sciences environment. Cesar led internal teams and managed service providers in delivering 24x7 IT support, including field services, end user services, and global voice and data telecommunications.

Before Catalent Pharma Solutions, Cesar worked at CIT for several years, starting as Vice President - Network & Voice Architecture from June 2005 to December 2015. In this role, they led a team of professionals and managed a $10 million budget while driving the modernization of the company's global network, voice, and video environments. Additionally, they served as Vice President - Enterprise Storage & Backup from January 2000 to June 2005, where they managed a centralized storage and backup group with a $6.5 million budget.

Cesar began their career at BASF Corporation, where they held various roles from 1996 to 2000. These included Senior Staff Specialist I, Staff Specialist II, and Senior Systems Analyst. In these positions, they played a key role in SAP R/3 projects, UNIX environment management, and implementation of new EDI processes.

Prior to joining BASF Corporation, Cesar worked at Heritage Inks International as a Systems Analyst from 1991 to 1996. In this role, they managed various IT projects, system administration, and helpdesk support for a diverse client base.

With a strong background in IT infrastructure management, project leadership, and team management, Cesar Fernandes has demonstrated a proven track record in the field of information technology.

Cesar Fernandes, PMP, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology. Cesar obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2008.
