Eric Amareld

Research Scientist - Analytical Development - New Technologies at WuXi Advanced Therapies

Eric Amareld has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eric started their career as a Route Salesman at Herr Foods Inc. from 1996 to 2013, where they managed logistics, sales, and customer service for a delivery route.

In 2014, Eric joined the Thomas Jefferson University Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics as a Research Associate. Eric conducted in vivo and ex vivo experiments focused on colorectal cancer prevention. During their time there, they developed protocols, assessed literature, and performed experiments for future publications.

In 2015, Eric also worked as a Research Tech A at the Thomas Jefferson University Department of Neurosurgery. Their responsibilities included harvesting and micro-dissecting rat neuronal tissue samples, conducting behavior testing, and performing surgery for sample collection.

In 2016, Eric joined WuXi AppTec as a Laboratory Technician in the Technical Development - QC/Analytical department. Eric performed assay and batch record development, validations, and qualifications, including the use of analytical assays such as ELISA and SDS-PAGE.

Eric continued their career at WuXi Advanced Therapies, starting in 2017. Eric held multiple roles in the Analytical Development - New Technologies team, including Senior Research Associate and Associate Research Scientist. In these positions, they focused on assay development and validation for large molecule analysis, particularly AAV and Lentiviral vectors. Eric also played a key role in establishing a newly constructed laboratory and led the initial development of the Analytical Ultracentrifuge program.

Currently, Eric is working as a Research Scientist in the Analytical Development - New Technologies department at WuXi Advanced Therapies.

Eric Amareld's education history begins in 2006 at Montgomery County Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Biotechnology-Manufacturing and Molecular Techniques. Eric then went on to attend Jefferson Health, earning a Bachelor of Science in Bioscience Technologies in 2014. In the following year, they pursued further studies at Jefferson Health, completing a Master of Science in Bioscience Technologies with a focus on Biotechnology. Additionally, Eric has an additional certification from the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS), although specific details regarding the institution and dates of obtaining the certification are not provided.
